Style Note: If a suit doesn’t fit in the shoulders, it doesn’t fit. A suit should be snug and emboldening. If you pull on a jacket and feel only droop, size down until you don’t.
2. One, Two… But Never ThreeStyle Note: A two-button stance is the stylish man’s default setting. A little on the short side? Embrace a punchy, single button suit and lengthen your torso.
3. Nip/TuckStyle Note: The more modern and tailored your suit, the shorter you can pick your jacket length. Look to the Italians to take the lead in a sharp, flattering cut. Remember: It’s all about body proportion. A longer jacket will shorten your legs. Similarly, if you’re top-tall, keep length and ditch the lanky look for good.
Style Note: What’s the point of a killer suit if you’re going to style it down with generic everything else? Keep your style enigmatic—with, say, a punchy, textured tie.

Make a basic knot—and leave an inch of extra length on one end.
Step 2Fold the shorter end into a regular bow shape. Lay it on your first knot.
Step 3Drop the longer end vertically over the folded end.
Step 4Double that long end over itself, placing it over the knot. The two folded ends should make a cross (you’re almost there).
Step 5All right, breathe: Pass the right fold under and behind the left side of the knot and through the loop on the opposite side.
Step 6Tighten, straighten, and refine. How do you know when it’s finished? When you look dapper as hell.

Kanye taught us well: a punchy hue, a fitted blazer, and rubber-soled oxfords. And sure, the pose helps too.
